Preparation of building subdivision plans involves far more
than just drawing a boundary line around each unit.
Because of the tendency to sell building subdivisions ‘off the
plan’ and the difficulty inherent in amending signed contracts
it is important that the major decisions regarding the structure
of owners’ corporations, boundary placement, amounts of
entitlement and liability applying to lots and the ownership of
car parking areas are made and incorporated into the plan of
subdivision and owners corporation schedules before selling
commences. Tomkinson has many years of experience in
coordinating the developer, solicitor, agents and consultants to
work through the various issues.
Tomkinson can commence work on the subdivision plan for a
building shortly after architect’s plans are underway and
provide draft plans for inclusion in contracts of sale. Plans are finalised upon completion of construction and we continue
to provide support and advice right through to registration of
titles.
